Prizegiving and after race meal and drinks:
Day 1 Saturday April 8:
The Spencer on
Byron, Byron Ave, Takapuna. Prizegiving from 3.30 till 5pm.
Day 2 Sunday April 9:
Takapuna
Boating Club, 39 The Strand ,Takapuna. From 6pm.
Prizegiving at
7.30pm. Complimentary Buffet meal for all competitors served from 6pm. Paddlers
must keep their race number to get a meal. Partners can by ticket for
meal at $25 per head.
NOTE: After race function on Day 2 will also be
serving as a combined 40th birthday celebration for Darcy Price
and Tracy Wilson, both born on April 9, 1966. A live band will play from
9.00pm
Surfski and Outrigger Prizemoney:
Based on overall times, regardless of age group.
Men’s overall best combined times over two days
(plus Perpetual
trophy for Surfski):
1st place: $2000 2nd place: $1500 3rd place: $1000 4th place: $750 5th place: $500 6th place: $250
Women’s overall best combined times over two days (plus Kay Thomas Memorial Trophy for Surfski):
1st place: $1000 2nd place: $500 3rd place: $250
King of
the Harbour Surfski and Vaa World Cup International Teams (plus Perpetual
trophy for surfski):
1st place: Still under negotiation
Surfski and Vaa (OC1) Age Group Medals:
There will be hand-carved medals for the following age group placings over both surfski and OC1 fields on the results of both days racing.
Under 20 Men: Winner, runner-up
20 to 40 (Open) Men: Winner, runner-up and third
Over 40 Men: Winner, runner-up
Over 50 Men: Winner, runner-up
Open Women: Winner, runner-up and third
Trophies are crafted by Bay of Plenty Artist and paddler Jason Porter.
